OLMSTEAD UPDATES

News blog follows implementation of landmark 2014 federal consent decree that requires Rhode Island to remedy violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the U.S. Supreme Court's Olmstead decision. Over ten years, Rhode Island must reinvent state services for citizens with developmental disabilities to give them opportunities for supportive employment and meaningful activities in their communities.

The public forum scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 26 by the RI Division of Developmental Disabilities has been rescheduled to March 4 at the Arnold Conference Center in Cranston. Details from DDD are below:

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however due to expressed interest in the Community Forum and with consideration for space issues, it is necessary that we move the Forum to next Wednesday, March 4th from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. at the Arnold Conference Center 111 Howard Ave, Cranston, RI..”
